We
believe that early detection is everyone’s best protection against
cancer. But if you don’t have health insurance – the barrier
for getting cancer screening can be insurmountable. Our Outpatient
Cancer Screening programs funded through NJ Cancer Education, &
Early Detection Program (CEED) and the Susan G. Komen Foundation are
designed to give access to individuals who do not have health insurance
and our experienced staff take pride in educating each client as they
personalize their care.
Breast Cancer - According to the American Cancer Society, breast
cancer will strike one 1 woman in 8 sometime during her lifetime.
The key to early detection for Breast Cancer is achieved through (1)
Self-Breast Examination, (2) annual mammogram, and
(3) annual exam by a health care provider. Our breast cancer
screening program will carefully guide the woman through her first
experience with mammography and will provide supportive case management
for follow up care.
Cervical Cancer - Annual Pap tests can detect changes in the cervix
that can be treated before they become cancer, and when treated in
its early stages, cervical cancer is highly curable. All the more
reason why an appointment with our Certified female Adult Nurse Practitioner
for a pap test can make the difference.
Prostate Cancer – is the most common cancer
in men, accounting for 30 % of all male cancers. Our Prostate Screening
Program is based on individual medical conditions and health care
needs. With early detection of prostate cancer, men have more effective
treatment options to choose. The goal of our screening program is
to provide that opportunity.
Colorectal Cancer – According to the American
Cancer society, when colorectal cancer is detected early, the opportunity
for cure is the greatest. Our colorectal screening options can provide
the diagnostic information men and women need for peace of mind.
